A Piece of Goshen History

If you’ve driven down Goshen-Tuttle Road, you’ve probably noticed the charming little building with the iconic Coca-Cola mural painted on its side. That landmark is the Historic Tisdale Store & Post Office—and it holds a special place in Goshen’s story.

At the July 14, 2026, City Council Meeting, Kim Watson presented a special recognition honoring the Wilson Family and this treasured piece of local history.

Built in 1874, the Tisdale Store & Post Office served as both the town’s general store and post office. As businesses and homes began to gather around it, the building became the heart of the growing community, helping shape the Goshen we know.

Today, we’re proud to celebrate that the Tisdale Store & Post Office is officially listed on the National Registery of Historic Places, preserving an important part of our town’s heritage for generations to come
